Fortunately I have that option in an urban area like the San Francisco Bay Area and with this option I have contact sheets made. That option, however, does not have the advantage of getting relatively low cost 4x6 proof prints from the one (or two) hour labs, although I also have an instant lab that will make me 4x6 proofs from my contact sheet. If you have enough work for an instant lab (in my case, that lab sometimes prints some of my slides, an instant lab function that is not well known) you can make special arrangements for XP2 processing and printing. But I prefer on the first round to have XP2 processed by a pro lab. Not as fast, but I use XP2 for its own qualities, not simply as a b&w alternative. One day service, but not one to three hour service.
