If you have access to a REI store you can pick up some sea kayak bags -
they come in several sizes and are reasonably waterproof (After a year of
cruising the Caribbean in a sail boat and  surviving a 2 1/2 day north
Atlantic gale in the same boat I have decided that there is no such thing
as waterproof).
