kim,
it was only a vinyl strap with a rubber shoulder pad - nothing special
other than it threaded through both strap lugs, so when you change film
the back stays on the strap and can't be dropped.
i've seen some people connect the lugs to the ends of the strap which
makes for very awkward film changing.
