I must confess, there are so many things that appear to be metal that do polarize light, I forgot that reflex mirrors aren't on eof them. My F-1 does polarize the light at the focussing screen only. ....... The F-1 focusing screen has a beam splitter, which redirects (but doesn't polarize) some of the light towards the meter. When a linear polarizing filter is used on the camera, is causes metering problems. A circular polarizer illimimates this problem. - -GH
