Subject: OFF TOPIC-Focusing Screen cleaning

Looking for suggestions on how to clean a focusing screen (particularly 
the ones in cameras like the Nikon F3 or the Canon F1). I recall that 
you're never supposed to touch the fresnel side. But how about the smooth 
top glass? If compressed air isn't sufficient, can the surface be cleaned 
like any other lens glass?
