I've never found a film that worked for both! (Actually you can make B+W
prints from color neg. w/ a Kodak paper, I forget the name, but that's
another story.)

As I remember, I used Royal Gold 400. In retrospect that was a bit slow for
the purpose. I would try either the Fuji 800 or the new Ektapress (no ASA
rating, but will work fine at 800: see the most recent issue of Photo
Techniques).

Now the real question is exposure time. I bracketed, but I seem to remember
8-10 min. worked well. I would ask around more on that, though. I liked the
results I got, but color print film is a bit flexible, and my exposures
might not have been optimal.

I think that exhausts what I remember. It will be my starting point when I
do some comet photographing next week.
