Hi List and Richard too,

I have also discovered that there is actually a large following for the
humble pin hole lens out there in the photographic world. I am convinced
that the use of a pin hole lens can be complementary to leitz optics in the
fun and enjoyment of taking photographs with a leica.

A local dealer in Singapore also stocks the Avenon pin hole lens. The price
is Sing$280 (about US$198) in leica screwmount. We too are puzzled by the
instructions in Japanese and are in the process in getting the data sorted
out; at least we need to know the effective aperture of this thing. It is
very well made and finished.

I wish to thank the members of the list who have contributed to this
discussion. We all learned how we can extend the limits of leica
photography through your input.

We look forward to the first hand reports on shots taken with a pin hole
lens on their leicas.
