Well, I dissent, though I agreethat it is a power-masher.  It fits neatly in
the bottom of my Billingham Photo Hadley (the Leica of bags!), but the only
time I regularly use it is when I've got the camera set up on a tripod and
am doing roll after roll of documenting cameras and lenses.  Especially when
I'm having to dicker around with the short DOF of a Luminar, the winder
makes sense.  And mine has cassette lugs, a boon to us Cheap Film Freaks.
