Marc, I looked at the circuit in the MR-4 meter and don't see any voltage regulation circuitry. I think unless the 1.35V mercury, or equivalant voltage, battery is used the accuracy may be affected. Dennis Experience is a tough teacher. It gives the test before the lesson. - -unknown
