I've lived in Japan for the last 5 years; the last 2 in Tokyo.  

Just saw a comparison between the Leica R8 and the Nikon 5 in a Japanese
photo magazine.  A real set up.  Seems like apples and oranges to me.  

I'm always amused to see how nationalism and advertising money gets in the
way of good judgement.
