I have a mint, black 50 Summicron M (sn 3.4 mil.) and I fully agree with you
- -- it is too easy to rotate the aperture ring.  The action is too loose and
the detents are not sufficiently firm and "positive" in their feel.  This was
true right out of the (new) box, by the way.  On the other hand, it's the
sharpest lens I have ever owned, along with my old 85/1.8 Nikkor.
