Contrary to popular opinion, according to dealers most Contax gear is owned by pros, not amateurs, and so what shows up on the used market is usually pretty beat up. I've bought M Leica equipment on the other hand that is pristine, though in some cases 20 years old. When I buy photo equipment I do so for the long haul. I usually keep my gear for 10 years or so.
