Like Ernst Wildi's books, My Life With The Leica does not seem to show up
on the listings of regular bookshops such as Barnes & Noble, so discounts
are tough to get. Probably has lots to do with the specialized nature of
the thing, along with low printing volume. My favorite book hunting story
concerns How To Build a User-Friendly Sidewalk Telescope by John Dobson: I
had to call someone's home to order the book, and it arrived wrapped in a
Pampers box! Wonderful book, and most unusual, with it's silkscreened
plywood cover, though.

I enjoyed the Benser book, but found the editing to be a little spotty at
times. I agree with the comments that it's very PC. I'd be willing to
unload my copy. An out-of-print Leica book that I also enjoyed, for very
different reasons, is Osterloh's Leica M: The Advanced School (or some
similar title), though I suppose that references to specific pieces of
equipment do date it somewhat.
