It's a safety measure to keep people's email addresses from falling into the hands of email spammers. Any time someone attempts to do a "who" or "statistic" command, they get an error message and the admin account gets a message including the email address of the requestor. This measure has reduced the number of spammers violating the list substantially, and has also reduced the number of junk emails that my subscribers have to suffer through. Godfrey
