North American (NTSC) TV's scan the screen 60 times a second, but each scan
(or field) contains all the odd or even numbered lines. Two fields makes one
complete picture (or frame).  Thus you must shoot at no higher speed than
1/30th of a second, so that the film sees a complete frame.
