The problem has to do with the thickness of the different camera bodies. You can make an adapter to mount lenses from a thick to a thin body and they will still focus at infinity, but I don't think you can go in the other direction. E.g.: there was an adapter to allow Viso lenses (and lensheads) to be mounted on a Leicaflex, but not one to mount the whole M lens. On the other hand, there was an adapter to allow the early 21 made for the original Leicaflex (thick) to mount on a RF camera (thin). Charles E. Love, Jr. CEL14@CORNELL.EDU
