I also wear glasses, and despite the compact size of the 35 (Summicron), can't see the entire image easily (a minor annoyance, not a "problem"). I also think my 50 Summicron is a tad sharper than my 35, but both are excellent. Needing money, I sold a 21/2.8 and a 90/2 and, of course, miss them both now. For years I was a Nikon user and rarely used a 50. Like many others, the 50 on an SLR seemed "boring". My mainstays (in order) were an 85, 35, and 24 with occasional 180 or 200. On the Leica M, however, the 50 "feels good". In addition, as many have said and written about M cameras, they are good for "seeing" the world in a simple, direct, unobstructed way. 50mm lenses, since they present a fairly natural view of things, are consistent with this style of work.
