I am not putting down Minolta, but the rangefinder is not only short but has a window type beamsplitter, while the Leica M's have a prism type. The CL rangefinder image will shift as you move your eye from side to side. They prism behind the small window has a problem with silvering loss. I can understans why some people want these cameras due to the compactness and portability, but with that you get some other problems. The meter is very delicate and has a tendency to hang up. The shutter seems to be reliable but can be very expensive to repair when it fails. All that being said, you still get to use the Leitz optics and get a compact & light camera. That beats the anything else I have seen. John
