    Dan,  
    It's not really necessary to alter the frames on the M3 if you want to
use a 35mm lens. You can use the 35mm that *DOES NOT* have the "bug-eyes"
and use the whole view-finder image (including area outside frame lines)
for your 35mm area. HOWEVER---Do not use a 35mm "bug-eye" with the eyes
removed. This lens WILL NOT work like that. Although it will focus in the
view-finder, your images will be out of focus when you print. It is
calibrated to work only with the "eyes" attached.
