Jack, Even though I make my living with neg film when necessary, I still shoot chrome whenever possible, because it is so much easier to edit. I don't like looking a raw scans on the computer either, because the color is off and the exposure is off (not mine, the computer's). Though when I put one of my transparencies in the computer as a screen blanker, it's got a nice slide-like glow to it because of the phosphor glow of the CRT. If done well, it looks good. Not as good as a 30 foot screen obviously, but it sure beats flying toilets. And I am with you, there's something special about that little chunk of film. Maybe it's the fact that I learned photography on Kodachrome, at the same time I learned black and white, but color was my film of choice for most things. It still is. We all have our own points of view. Picking the tools to realize our vision is one of the fun parts of it. As long as it doesn't get in the way of actually making pictures. ========================== Eric Welch Grants Pass Daily Courier
