I can't believe what I'm hearing.... <snip>... If his sin is that he is wealthy enough to be the high bidder in an auction, then, Stan, my hat is doffed to you! <snip> .. aven sakes, do it for the right reasons, NOT because he is wealthy. Are they smiles I see on the faces of Marx, Lenin and Stalin down there? Hi Roger - If the person doing the bidding was an ordinary citizen, I would not care what he/she bid and on what. But a dealer has a special responsibility of not giving even the slightest hint of manipulating the market, especially for a collectible like a Leica. Exactly what Marx, Lenin and Stalin did (maybe not for collectibles but for other stuff) and maybe that's why they're smiling! Enough of this. 'Hope that all the buyers are happy with their purchases. Let's get back to taking pictures. -- Wolfgang |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| | Wolfgang Sachse Phone: +1/607/255-5065 | | Theoretical and Applied Mechanics E-mail: sachse@msc.cornell.edu | | Cornell University FAX: +1/607/255-9179 | | Ithaca, NY - 14853-1503 USA Department Secretary: 607/255-5062 | | WWW Home Page http://www.msc.cornell.edu/~sachse | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
