Hi there!
I saw Georges Fevre on Monday, and he told me that there was a new paper
Ilford Multigrade FB that is to be available in a couple of months. Ilford
gave him some samples of this new paper (50cmx60cm) in order to try it. I'm
waiting for his comments.
Some comments on the price of prints in France: I do agree that it is very
expensive. But remember that we pay much more taxes in France than in the
US. Usually, you pay 250FF/hour for a qualified people (good printer,
engineer...). He will pay 40% of this sum in taxes (social security and so
on). At the end, he will have ~150FF/hour. An exhibition print at Picto is
about 800FF, which means 2.5-3 hours work. I think that this is the normal
delay for such a work. But again, I think it is expensive: I mean, taxes are
expensive!
Regards.
