Joe,

Your quest for a very small light weight tripod for the Leica M might best
be served by the Leica table top tripod and ball head.  I never use my
"real" tripod and Arca B1 head with the Leica, but frequently use the table
top model.

Obviously there isn't always a table top handy, but a tree or fence or wall
is sometimes around instead.
