Perhaps I was unclear. The version of the 50 Summicron-M prior to the
current one did have the finger rest (or tab). That is the only version
that I have used; I do not know if the previous 50 Summilux-M also had the
finger rest. As I said the finger rests remain on the 35mm and 28mm lenses
(I don't recall the design of the current 21 mm.)
