Remember that the 35/1.4 focuses to one meter while the  35/2.0 will go
to 0.7 meters. This is a big difference, and the main reason I got the
35/2.0 -- it is hard to say which is "best" because of things like this.

The new 35/1.4 aspherical unit will also go to 0.7 meters, but it costs
about $2,200 used or more new. It is ergonomically nice though (nicer to
change aperatures than 35mm/2.0)
