Subject: Smallest aperture on 50mm Summicron

I wanted to ask this since I bought it but I always forgot: My 50mm
Summicron (from 1973) has aperture markings from 2 to 16 on it and it also
clicks in on the half-way points between to markings. In addition there is
another point that is located beyond the "16" marking where the lens also
engages in.

As I got no documentation together with the lens my question is: Is this
point considered to be exactly the next halp-stop point after "16" thus
providing the lens with 12 instead of 11 usable half-stop positions?
(Somehow I can't imagine Leitz to incorporate this into the lens without
use.) Or is this just a problem of my particular lens?

Thanks for your help,
Edi.
