I have translated Lluis' message into English:

Dear Alice,

I am answering you in French. I can express myself better than in
English.

Thank you for your touching message, I miss Philippe and I/we will
always miss him. As you say, it was a totally unexpected shock. We are
fragile and we do not realize the happiness of opening our eyes every
day and living new experiences. You know it well because Philippe and I
had direct contact; often we shared much more than photography, such as
culture, music (I dreamed of being together one day at the "Palau de la
Musica") and also we shared a good mood.

My memory of him and the times we spent together are very vivid, as are
those of all the friends who had the chance to share unforgettable
moments with him.

Do you know what Cartier-Bresson did at the funeral of his friend Robert
Doisneau? He took an apple and split it in half, ate half of it, and
threw the other half at his friend's tomb, saying "for you, my friend!",
I would have liked to do the same.

With all my love
Luis
