This doesn't seem so much like a Q2 question as it does a DNG management 
question.
I know Lightroom can rewrite DNS previews, and I'm pretty sure Bridge 
can do it.
A mis-specified setting on the Q2 is how you got DNGs with the wrong 
previews in them, but I believe the fix is a matter of postprocessing 
software.
